some knives
« on: December 10, 2018, 11:14:12 pm »
been busy putting together a few knives lately ,some for Christmas presents and some for trade.
mostly Georgetown stone with one jasper blade and a couple from central texas rocks.
deer leg bone and antler handles wrapped with sinew, rawhide, yucca and elm bark.
glued in with jb weld.
I've collected quite a few leg bones this year and got a few sets of antlers in trade for one of the knives and I got several blades ready to haft so I will be making up a few more pretty soon hopefully.

Very nice work!  Time to save the leg bones!, but does don't have antlers, usually! (lol). Got to harvest the sinew first, and maybe make more stuff for Christmas and trade!

I hope the lucky recipients appreciate symmetry, long flakes, and quality craftsmanship. Great job on all of them.

Very nice 1442. As I was saying. It's nice to see you back here again. I saved a pretty good supply of leg bones. I really like them.
