bow bench design help needed
« on: February 06, 2019, 05:00:08 am »
First off, if an admin wants to move this post, that's fine by me!

I have recently acquired this :

and was thinking of building a heavy-duty bow bench from it, anyone got any plans or photos I can steal from?

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Thanks for the link, lots of good ideas there. So, I am thinking that I would end up with something like this.

Which end would you put the bow, facing toward you or away from you - its awfully close to your face if things go badly wrong and the direction of travel of ittie bittie bits of bow could be unfavourable

I have no idea how that one would work... a wooden bench with a standard bench vice will work...or you might make something more like this with your piece...
