Plains Indians erc sinew backed bow design

I know with eastern red cedar (juniper) works best sinew backed with wide thin limbs. I'm trying to find a good short bendy handle design for erc. Can you go 1.25in center out 2/3rds then tapered to 5/8ths at the tips? Gull wing style? Having made this design with osage I'm not sure if erc can handle it? Thanks for any help.

I'd start out a little wider. You can always reduce the width if necessary later.

55" ttt. I'm looking for a 24" draw at 50lbs

Wider for sure. I'd go close if not all the way to 2". You can go thinner in the grip area, just leave it thicker.  :)

Juniper can go quite narrow with a thick sinew backing. I've tested the design of old Flathead and northern plains bows. 1/3 sinew the rest juniper. 1.25" wide a max at the handle tapering from there. Reflexed, 46" long 23.5" draw 58#. No problems. They are flawless staves though.
