I'm looking for some good books to read on native Americans. Maybe some non fiction books. Anyone know of any?

Check out Kathleen and Michael Gear's books. They have a series(The People Of...) of books starting from the introduction into North America from Asia all the way to the Spanish introduction to Florida. A historic book I'm reading now is called "1491", by Michael Crichton. This is information about the pre-Columbian people of the Americas, North, Central and South.

Ishi, The last of his Tribe, Theodora Kroeber
Lance and Shield, The Life and Times of Sitting Bull, Robert M. Utley (Great book)
Cochise, The Life and Times of The Great Apache Chief, Peter Aleshire (another Great book)
The Sioux Indian Wars, Cyrus Townsend Brady
The Crow Indians, Robert H. Lowie

Something to consider.
Donate your books to the local library. Buddy does this and I'm gonna start.
Particularly in smaller towns, there is dearth of books dealing with Native Americans, with traditional archery, and with primitive archery in particular.
The books are still avail to ya. They'd just be at the public library instead of at your home.

The Last Frontier by Howard Fast is a must read, as is When the Legends Die by Hal Borland
