want to make Fibreglass horse Bow - what laminations ??

Hi

I would like to Make a composite horse bow like a SALUKI or Attila or similar -
Glass
laminations
glass
+ Siyahs

Maybe approx 54" long -
35-50lbs
i draw approx 30" but not super important as I am more interested in making
Glass i have is 1mm x 38mm - so will use this

Just making for Fun - have made recurves before and also Bamboo Horsebow
so just need some approx dimensions.

how many laminations - whats a good width or thickness for the bow/laminations and are the laminations Tapered like in recurves and laminated longbows ?
any info helpful or a link anyone hads found for a build along ..

Sorry, not to be rude, but nobody here works with glass, its all wood here. We just dont know.

Horse bows were meant to be made with horn and sinew anyway. . .

HI Guys

SORRY SORRY - i really didn't know , I usually Make all wood / Bamboo things , only made one Glass bow before so more of a experiment ,
I would love to make it in Sinew and Horn , both hard to get in the UK and bit pricy so though would make a glass one first and then onto the Horn and Sinew one after .

Is it better I delete this post ?

No harm no foul. But it is better to delete it, so others who search for glass on the internet wont see our forum come up, become confused, and ask more glass questions.
