Amazing what the wood can take when done properly! I do have some sinew but I think I'll use it on a stave with less kinks and shoot for 24" for my first BL.

My kinda bow there!  Nicely done. 

On the tips where its painted black it appears to almost has a cross-weave pattern.  At first i thought it was fabric of some kind, but is that where you wrapped the sinew with bandage?

No, Northheart it is some kind of fabric that my wife had laying around. It is all I had at the time. Your Teal bow is a beauty.You also make some very nice horn bows. Very nice craftsmanship like so many others on this site.

Thank you B2W, and Don. First 3 bows I made from Bl were failures. Crushed the belly on one, and broke the back on two.Wood had really thin growth rings.I learned from that, and lucked into a good log, and made a total of four successful bows.Bow building can be humbling, but when successful rewarding.

The arrows sticking  in the target are flight arrows that broke tuning a bow.  The arrows I shoot  the red one,s They are made from Spice Bush, and Wild Choke  Cherry,stone heads, and turkey feathers.
