A mink wessel combo quiver.
« on: August 25, 2019, 07:51:55 pm »
I had someone  bring me some primitive style arrows. They wanted to display them. They had two groups of different  length arrows. They wanted to display them together but separately. I made him this quiver. Mink for the longer arrows with a Wessels I got from Ksnow attached to the belly side of Mink for the shorter arrows.  For a strap he had some commercially tan deerhide he wanted me to use. I cut strips from around the outside of the hide. Then I Flemish twisted two together. One was a little longer than the other so I made a fringe out of the extra.

I know one thing. If the guy doesn't like it I'm keeping it for myself.

Thanks Don. Yup that deer at the end of the corn rows I pick up at our local dump. Guy that runs it saved her for me when someone brought her in to throw her away. Couldn't believe it she was only shoot about three times but has been out in the weather awhile. Poor girl has been getting drilled lately. I've got a practice tree stand back there behind my house. Gotta get better shooting out of trees.
Thanks Bob

That is one fine quiver!  Is there one ermine or two?  Ours are pretty small, I'd need about 3 or 4 to make a quiver!

I wish I had good numbers of them here to Eddie. I've only ever caught one and it was a incidental mink set. Maybe I should try specifically for them. Might be More  than I know. I got this one in a trade with Ksnow at Marshall.

Jerry the arrows aren't really long. The shorter one are like small kids arrows and the longer are larger kids arrows. Of coarse kids can fill the soup kettle to and I'm sure they did.
