One for my Cuz
« on: December 13, 2019, 06:21:55 am »
It's been awhile since I got any time to play. Starting to get a little. Went to my granddaughter's band concert about a week ago. Saw one of my cousins there and he asked if I could make him a stone point hunting arrow for a Christmas present.
Turned out pretty nice. Rivercane shaft I got in supply trade from Trapper Rob awhile back. I believe it's some type of Hornstone I got from Frank at Marshall this spring. I didn't use pine pitch glue. I cheated and used JB weld epoxy. Genuine white tail sinew wrap. Wild turkey primaries. Self nocks and my Bjrogg markings.
Hope you like it. Both he and I do.
Merry Christmas

Nice one BJ. Hopefully he can add some more red to it next fall.   :OK

Thanks Russell,
Thanks Pat,
He already has it. He loved it. It's for his families Chinese gift exchange.
Not sure who will end up with it yet, but I think they'll like it. It's a pretty sharp point. I don't know if anyone will hunt with it, but it's certainly capable of taking a animal. I'm kinda hoping his brother ends up with it. Or even his son. I know they both have fg recurves. I don't know how much they shoot them. Would have liked to make one up tuned to bow. It might just hang on a wall. Time will tell.

Very nice!  That will look good in a quiver or on a wall!

Thanks Jerry. I'm kinda hoping it finds its way into some vitals, but if it hangs on a wall that's ok to.

Thanks Rob, I really like this cane. It stays straight and has a nice look to. Much easier to straighten than red osier. I might take you up on that.

Sweeeet, as usual.
