Bow Cracks
« on: April 10, 2020, 09:56:51 am »
So recently I made a ash and fiberglass bow. I put about 200 or so shots through it and it started to sound like a box of rice crispies. At first I thought it was glue or varnish on the fiberglass crackling. I ended up finding 2 small cracks on the side of the bow one is on the belly underneath the riser an one is on the back under the fiberglass. I ended up putting the bow on the tillering tree and put ca glue in the cracks and it only makes noises when string the bow should I be worried.

If it’s still making noise I would be worried.

Beyond that this is the wrong page for this question, a general question like this should be asked in the main “bows” section you’ll get a lot more traffic, and sense you said it’s fiberglass you should really ask it in the campfire section.
This discussion board deals with natural materials only (except for strings) so the campfire is the only “proper “ place for it.
