WTT for osage boards
« on: May 03, 2020, 08:26:54 am »
I need  some osage boards about 3/8" think, 2" wide and 8 or 10" long. I use osage for but caps on my stone knife handles.  Really like the looks of the stuff.  What I am looking for is much like a 5 gallon paint stirring stick only 3/8 " thick or so as I sand it down giving it a crown. They don't have to be that long. I can use 50 cent size also in 3/8" as I cut them down and sand them to fit the butt of the handle.

I have 5" parabolic cut feathers in left wing and limited colors of 5" in right wing. Also have some 4" parabolic in right and left wing.

Let me know what you have and if you don't need feathers I may have something else laying around.

They would but that way too much sanding for me. I sand them to to smaller than 1/4" and like to get them to 1/8 " thick for the butt cap on the knife handles. Thanks anyway.

That's OK  Clint. I thought if someone had some laying around I would do a swap. I could probably cut a billet in half and eyeball it thru my band saw.
