Band saw blade

How do you find a bent tooth on a band saw blade? Anyone have a slick way?

Nevet had that problem but if I did I think I'd start with a piece of soap stone,  and carefully move it toward the flat side of the blade while it's running.  I'd think the bent tooth (teeth) would hit it before the straight ones do...then look for tooth that's got white on it.

I'll give that a shot. I don't have soapstone but I can use plaster or something. Thanks

I have used a sharpie marker the same way to find a small bend in a blade.

One of the problems with my saw is that it's a repurposed metal cut off saw. It has a worm drive so you can't move the blade. You have to pull on the belt to move it. It's very slow going. One pull on the belt moves the blade about one tooth.
