Who made Aldo Leupold's bow?

I got in a discussion the other day with someone that was excited to find out that Aldo hunted with a stick bow. He was asking me about details as he kinda wanted to make a copy. Somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to remember that he got it from a rather famous bowyer of the time, but details have slipped my mind.

Can anyone help out with the details?

That internet search engine says he hunted with a yew longbow and that he made his own

he made his own, although that does not mean he didn't buy one.

Billets to Bows, by Glenn St Charles has a copy of a letter Aldo wrote. perhaps more clues there.

He talks about making Osage bows in A Sand County Almanac.  He talks about falconry in the same chapter.
