Red Oak flatbow "Osiris"
« on: August 26, 2020, 07:46:50 am »
Hi guys!

I've just finished new bow. It's Red Oak flatbow 61" ttt drawing around 40lbs at 26". I painted back with gold and black oil markers. I burned also some stuff on handle section. The stick has funny surface wave there. Gold and black theme reminds me a bit Egyptians so I named it "Osiris". Sweet Shooter!

Have a wonderful day!

Great looking bow with very nice tiller!  I really like your paint job. Can you give us some more details. How wide do you make your oak bows out of the fades?  What is the length and draw weight?  Thanks. Will

Thank you Will! I measured it today and the bow is drawing 40-45 lbs at 26". It is 59" ntn. At widest near fades bow is almost 1 4/5" wide, at handle it is 1" and at tips it is 4/5".

Is it from a board or a natural stave?
