Nice pile stacking up at TO. Be taking another load to the Barn before long. Got a old stave that did not make the grade. Pappy had sawed it in half but for some reason saved it. I put a finger joint in it and it made a heck of a nice 57" selfbow. Put tips on yesterday. Then got a string on it. Looking to get it to 30@24" to start. First brace looked really really good, have not weigh it but it looks like its half way to that weight already.

Get a pic in here most Tic.

Make some boy or girl a sweet shooting HH bow.

Yes. I think you saw me shoot that 1950's taper flight arrow cut to 24" long. I drew bow about 23" split finger and put it right on the standing bears nose at 35yds. Was exactly what arrow hit. Blows me a away that a bow 24lbs@25" can do that!

Some kid going to make a run at youth IBO 20121 with that thing.

Raining like a banshee this morning. No coyote squirrel hunting today.

I did get some beaver tail on this little Bownado last evening. All ready to shoot. Need to make a set of 26" youth arrows with 70grn points.

Ready for new young bowhunter.

Thank You Mr. Eric

Well bow is complete. Figgered we lost a good friend and one hella great bow-hunter right before Christmas here in Clarksville. So, I thought I would make a bow and maybe get a youngster interested enough to shoot and make a new bow-hunter possibly. Time will tell.

Full draw pic. . . .

That turned out really sweet. Great looking bow Hedge. Whomever gets Bownado is one lucky kid. Like that beaver tail arrow pass. Very durable stuff.

Bow I call   "Half a Holler"

It had a big splinter lift at the Howard Hill shoot 2020. I was able to glue in down and thread wrap it in July while at shoot but finally found a lone billet for a new limb.

Cut it , then put a mortise and tenon type joint in it to save this old bow. It won a lot of 3D's and one or two Arvin shootdowns as well. 69" 41lbs it was. Hope to have "Half a Holler" back in the green again soon.

All back together now. Just got to rawhide wrap and put a grip back on it.
