That should hold, I have done the same with several bows that ended up with a bad limb, I put a Z splice in them. You have a lot more handle area to contour so your method is the best for the bow you fixed.

Similar Eric. This one i added a tenon in a separate gluing in the lower slot. Then, when cured did both together then rawhide glued wrapped handle. The tenon was a very hard piece of Black Locust. It will hold and most likely much stronger than the osage ever was.

Tiller the lower limb to floor. Will put original lower tip back on and string tiller it. I teally liked the way that 69” bow shot. See how it shoots soon.

Well, shot "half a holler" yesterday in about 25 degree weather at 3D's. She ran like a champ and spat out a nice score. 3 balls and 18" right of the 110yd 1'x8" target. This might very well be the the bow to pull out when the $ is on the Shoot Down line. New limb performs well and bow has good cast.

May have to bring it back to Buck Holler on 26-28 Feb down in Vanleer, TN.

Thats Erics rig with the brown glue,  Resorsinol is what it looks like. My S Curve bow has two part epoxy, very similar to EA40. but hardens more and shrinks rate is .0001" when cured.

Another 4' snow last nite. Glad my garage is insulated and my freezers in there keep it warm. Steamed the S Curve bow yesterday. Ready to back on caul and get some dry heat.

Little snow while the Hedge has been huntin. Funny thing is, it'll be 60 today and glorious weather. Go shoot some foam today with Gil. The Super Pyramid will be getting strung up.
