A post about Facebook restrictions
« on: January 15, 2021, 08:32:11 pm »
I know how edgy this post can quickly turn out to be. I ask my fellow forumites to stay within the velvet ropes here.

I was just put on a ban on Facebook with no given reason or apparent provocation. Seems its happening to many. The ban restriction is indefinite and restricts usage of market place, events, posting in all groups and the ability to form groups. If that happens to you, you arent alone and probably didn't do anything to deserve it. If you have any insights, id like to hear them, even if its just a "me too".

This sucks because of all the bow making groups im part of i can't participate in and id be willing to bet many soon won't be.

You didn't post anything positive about 2nd amendment, did you? >:D Not a bad enemy to have.  I am a little alarmed they're going after lower profile people, not just public figures.  Anyway, I cancelled media before media could cancel me.

Can you make a second account and keep that very vanilla to stay under the radar? I assume you can, but I have never used any social media so I don't know how fussy they get about multiple accounts or if they ban users or IP addresses.

The way this is going it is going to kill the internet, which will be a huge loss for all of us.

FB is fan club of the Have and Have-nots. The only commodity FB has is You, the user. Be proud you got banned from those folks. The more people that leave the better.

The hypocrisy of the the twitters, FB, snapchats, instagram, IMGUR and the rest is palpable. Wear it like you stole it!  Ma Bell got regulated and so will these BIG Tech folks.

Why wait around for them to ban selfows enthusiasts.

What makes you say that?  I'm not a tech person.

What makes you say that?  I'm not a tech person.

The reason the internet got to the size and scope it is today is because it was largely unregulated and open to all. Between politicians wanting to regulate and/or break up companies and kill section 230, and the big tech companies deciding to take sides on who they will allow and deal with it is going to destroy the open access and free speech that was the basis for the growth of the internet. The internet isn't going to vanish, but I think it is going to become much more restricted and segmented, which will hurt access, innovation and economic growth.

TBH, it was a near miracle that governments around the world left it alone for as long as they did. Unconstrained free trade and nearly unrestricted free speech scares them to death. The incredible innovation and economic growth that occurred just shows what is possible when government stays out of the way and lets people live their lives as they see fit. It's really too bad that experiment is ending.

The Google/Amazon Army has more data on everyone than the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc combined.  The second you think that is not the case you hand them the upper hand.

#1 Priciple of fighting the Google War of data collection. No not unlike fighting an Insurgency... "Assume the Enemy is watching your activity at all times" . Plan all operations with this at the top of the list to defeat it.

Assume they are collecting on you at all times. Every time you buy gas, booze, food, bank, shop you are being collected on. Every camera has ability to use highly advance facial recognition form their end. Even private camera's Ring etc.

This is not different than the way the DDR operated under Russian occupation except they use Human Data collection and reporting. Everyone collected on everyone else.

How do you think the FBI is rounding up folks from Jan 6th in DC. HUMINT and Google Army using facial Req!

I know, I've heard stories coming out of 'our very dear friend in trade' away west.

When someone who works for a fed intelligence agency dislikes carrying a smartphone you have to wonder why.

Yep
Why you cant go anywhere near a SCIF with a fone, tablet, earpiece, laptop or any other eletronic device. They can be turned inside and be used to collect data. Very powerful devices. Assume everything say or type on one to run thru the giant server farm in Southern AZ!!

If yer using a Google / Apple / Amazon platform that not using end to end encryption on A VPN

YOU Are Getting COLLECTED on.

Say key words Patriot, Boogaloo, Insurrection, Antifa, Civil WAR you data is going to tagged and throw thru another algorithm for further matches for pull down screening.

If your only excuse to be on FB is friends an ink pad and contact list work well. After all when the lights go out FB won't be working. If your only connection to world is FB that creek is gonna be hard to paddle in.

FB lost 46 million in one night! The big problem is Google/Amazon Army owns all the server farms save a few GVT ones.

So, we are right back to the Ma Bell problem Monopoly of a publicly used resource. Time for a change people.

When You hear the original Super Socialist (Merkal) question the act of banning free speech thru Open Sourced World Wide Web services like FB, Twit, Insta-Terd, etc. for banning folks.

You quickly realize the jig will surely be up soon.

After all. . . . Who do you think created the WWW ????????????

Clue: It was located between Kalifornia and Virginia
