Recurves, wiggles, and heat....
« on: March 02, 2021, 11:55:28 am »
Okay... so bow I’m working on I’m thinking about putting some curves on it, but it has a big wiggle at the tip. So would I take the wiggle out and then curve it? But then the wiggle will come back from the steam right ? So how do you all go about this?

Usually for recurving you want flawless grain. Everything else is risky. A pic would help to really answer your question.  ;)

I’ll post pics I a bit... I followed the grain. Do you mean you normally want there to be no wiggles in the stave for recurves?
