well, I got my bow finished and it is so beautiful, and the tiller looks great ... on the tillering tree.... I've been shooting it a ton, and its shooting awesome too!

but after a little while I noticed some compression fractures.... *sigh* The tiller looked so good on the tillering tree, but then I took an FD pic where I was drawing it .... oh it makes me so sad, I don't understand how I did this, why didn't I see that horrible top limp on the tillering tree?? it holds about 1" of reflex after a lot of shooting. the bottom limb took some set, the top took none, and it's the limb that I failed on, I really don't understand. I'm quite upset with myself.....

sorry guy, I will drop out cause I'm out of time to work on bows for a while :(

@ Fox, So sorry to hear that, that happened to 3 of mine, so I understand...

@ All,
I mentioned earlier that I am sending a bow I made summer of 2020 as my first three did not work.  I would have had it out earlier, but I decided to put a new handle on it and serve a spare string this weekend.  It is packed up and ready to go.

Alright everyone - great work! Tomorrow is the shipping “deadline”. That said there are a few people still working away - keep working! And a few people who I haven’t given the shipping green light to but who have finished their bows. Those that are ready to ship by tomorrow will be entered in a drawing to win Selfbowman’s beautiful Osage self bow, regardless of whether you have been given the actual approval to ship. I’ll conduct the drawing when I get back from my Montana deer hunt. I’ll probably video it and post a link. Finally, if you have NOT been given approval to ship but are complete please PM me so I can make sure I haven’t missed anyone. Thanks and great work.

Well, my guy's bow is mostly tillered, I love this bow, can I keep it please? Its nothing like what he asked for but maybe that's a good thing since its definitely not one he'd ever make for himself?  Anyway, apologies for running very late, I think I'll be good to ship end of next week.

So I just got my trade bow from PAsteve and guys this thing is scary fast and dead silent. My arrows also go exactly where they’re pointed. I can’t express how amazing this is. And the finish on it is super smooth.

Anyone have suggestions on how to ship a bow? mine has some deflex and recurves so i cant use a big pvc pipe. I dont trust the postal system to treat a bow nice honestly.... wanna make sure its safe.

Will be getting my trade bow out by the 1st. Its maple back Ipe. Really nice little shooter. It 47#@26" and 57" t2t. R/D.

I received a tube in the mail today and after what seemed like an hour, I finally got the wrapping off and found this bow from TimothyR inside.  He is right, it is a nice little shooter.  It is a beautiful bow and a pleasure to shoot.  It is a true piece of art and I am proud to be the new owner of this bow.  I will get some pictures of me with the bow posted sometime soon.

I've been tweaking and fiddling, it now comfortably draws to my guy's draw length but I've missed his draw weight by a few pounds.  The workshop supervisor reckons its time to put a finish on it.

I’m not sure why, but I took the liberty of resizing and replacing it.
