Putting it all together.
« on: April 07, 2021, 08:08:27 am »
It’s been awhile since I posted any arrows. I finished this one up last night.

Flint Ridge point I knapped. Halved to a river cane shaft I got from Trapper Rob in supply trade. I used a little epoxy first and then went over top with pine pitch glue. White tail sinew wrap. Wild turkey feathers. Self nocks. And my Bjrogg markings. Found a piece of driftwood on the beach that was just begging to cradle this one.

Hope you all like it.

Thanks Mike. Glad you like it.

Thanks Steve. I really like the point to. It’s pretty sharp. I’m not sure, but If I remember correctly I think I got the flint Ridge from you in point trade.

Thanks Jerry it really is a natural display stand. It looks nicer than the pictures.

Thanks Rob. I didn’t do much to the driftwood. It was just screaming at me that it wanted to hold a nice arrow. All I did was give it one.

PS still really liking the river cane you sent me.

Really nice arrow BJ. That flint is beautiful. Great job all around. Perfect display piece too.

Nice arrows, BJ. You definitely have a "signature" in your design and decorations. Well done.
Only thing I would add is to lengthen the sinew wrap behind the point for more strength there.

Very observant Pat. I actually was planning on doing that yet.

PS I learned a lot from you and Dbar. Sure miss the big guy. Hopefully see him at Marshall this year?

Yeah, Bill makes a great arrow. Can't go wrong learning from him.   :OK
