Venison fillet fried in beaver tail fat!
« on: May 21, 2021, 11:33:41 pm »
Mmm!! man! Best meat I've ever had...the one thing that I miss when I only eat wild game.... pork... I really love pork... and fatty meat... which I need I'm like a pencil I can't get enough fat (lol) (lol) (lol)

But beaver has good fat, and the tail is absolutely incredible.... I cook the fillets from my deer last fall and fried them in beaver tail fat, just real simple chopped up the fat and melted it in the pan, made sure it was really hot. then seasoned the venison with just simple pepper, salt, and fresh garlic. seared the venison for 3 minutes on each side, and oh my goodness it was amazing ;D

Man!!!! That is the dream food... man... I SOOOO want to get some venison this year....

I feel ya about the fatty meat! My family tries to “put some meat on me” but I’m still a twig  ;D
It’s good for wrestling tho! No need to worry about cutting weight lol

It’s the last of the beaver that I got a while ago. I saved the tail to do just this  :)

Also where did the whole beavers smell like vanilla come from?? And the whole castor gland being used for vanilla, I recall the beaver smelling nothing like vanilla :P

i believe the castor is mixed with the vanilla and a bunch of other things and the castor just strengthens the smell.... take what i say with a grain of salt tho.
