Artifact show

I went to an artifact show last saturday in Seward Nebraska. I did some Abo work and met some nice knappers! Guess who else i ran into? FlintKnp17!!! really cool guy! I also bought a cast of a Folsom point. thats going to be the point i want to try to recreate.

ill definitely be back next year!!!

 Russell, finding other knappers and talking to them and watching them work is the best way to learn. Most knappers I know don't mind passing their knowledge and techniques with others interested in learning. The knapping pit at the Tenn Classic is a fine example. You'll leave with way more than you came with.  :-K   :KN   :OK

it seems like someday might not be too far honestly. hopefully in a year i can make one reliably with copper and then another year with abo!

I am in Iowa.  My family is from Aurora, NE so I know the area pretty well.  I came over for the day to see the artifact show and do a little knapping.  Beautiful country you have out there that far west in NE.  I worked for a summer in Lewellen, NE.

Thanks Mat! it was really nice to meet you too! thanks for the flakes also!

I kinda feel pretty central to alot of the knappers I know, theres people to the north, east, and west of me that knap. maybe next year we do a little knap in at the artifact show?  (lol) (lol)

I also got scouted to knap next year at the show. they emailed me asking me if i could knap next year. gonna be fun!
