Horn strips and sinew
« on: September 26, 2021, 02:47:55 am »
Hi all,
unfortunately my supplier of water buffalo horns is no longer around. Does anybody have any contacts? Looking ideally for raw, full horns as I prefer to do the redducing myself but would consider strips.
Also looking for any decent length sinew, any animal as long as it is around 12" or over.
I'm ready to start on my next batch of hornbows. Would love to make a Turkish flight bow that will do over 600 yards and try my hand at a few different styles of bow. These bows are going to be used as examples/photos in the book I'm writing.

Happy to buy or trade. I have many hardwood shoot shafts and elm, ash, hazel or yew bow staves.

You have any plans in taking your bows to the salt flats for testing? 600 yards is record territory.
Tread softly and carry a bent stick.
