Bow fishing

I went to Florida to visit a friend, we didn't see any hogs but we shot some stingrays walking through the sand flats. Fyi bow fishing is hard, we missed a ton of fish. I used my hickory bow with a soda bottle strapped to it for holding the bow fishing line. It was super fun

Very cool. Sounds like a good time. Shooting at something swimming in the water can be difficult. Depth perception most definitely can be an issue. Maybe next time the hogs will cooperate.

Cool. Can you show a closeup of your soda bottle spool?

Cool!  I love whacking carp in the off season.  I'd love to get down south for gar or gators.  Someday.

I tried to zoom in on the picture but it just made it blurry BJ, but the string was tied by the cap and then we just started wrapping it near the bulge at the bottom of the bottle so it would help keep the line on. Then we used 2 gear ties to attach it to the bow. Pretty simple set up and it worked great. Man even shooting at stingrays sitting on the bottom was hard to do. We basically had to aim about 2 feet under the bottom edge of the ray lol.
