Good personal news for a change!
« on: January 24, 2022, 06:53:32 pm »
I was talking with a friend that is really active in here and he mentioned that he was a little surprised that I hadn't told him that I was dating again (it's been a looooong time). I allowed that it was true and she was a wonderful woman, and a twin even.

He kinda got cagey and then gives me this smarmy little smile, saying, "Be honest with me, do you ever have trouble telling them apart?"

Again I allowed that it was true. Yes there had been a couple embarrassing moments here and there, but since her brother had taken to growing a beard I had not made that particular faux pas in a while.

Why do we always fall for these antics.  :o You got us again, JW. Well done. I'm using age as my excuse.  ;D

She might not like that!  Stay single, and teach your kids the same thing!  BTW, I agree with Pat B (lol)

The best jokes always have a kernel of truth in them, even as this one does. I AM actually seeing someone these days. We are seeing each other for dinner once a week and enjoy each other's company for the time being. It's kinda nice.

It’s nice to have someone to share life with.

On the other hand. My uncle who remained a single man till his later years alway told me when I was still looking. “Better to go through Life wishing for something you never had. Than having something you wish you never had “
