I had a piece of char clorh under the hearth.

Hearth is a piece of a picket fence, pine.. Spindle is a piece of yucca stalk. Had bearing in block for easy rotation.

A piece of bark, a very well dried leaf or cardboard piece under your tablet will help insulate the dust from the cold and humidity of the floor
