Buck and doe deer leg belt pouches

<< < (5/5)

BrianS:
Beautiful work!

BowEd:
I could'nt leave the other deer leg pouch alone either.Had some spare beadwork from long ago laying around.
Another 4 winds color motif.

I have no need for so many pouches.I'll trade or sale them away in time.
I'll just make more.

Outbackbob48:
Ed, both the quill work and the bead work are excellent, not to Goddy just clean and not complicated, makes the bags pop. I have the book on quilling (A Quill workers Companion) and is an excellent book. I have dabbled in it but being a carpenter for 40 yrs and flinknapping for 15 sure didn't help with my hand dexterity, but I keep on trying. Need to see if I can find me a roadkill Porky or go on a serious Porky hunt this winter, The quills that I have are pretty picked over: -T Bob

BowEd:
I agree too much beadwork or quillwork is not practical IMO.Although I've gotten out of hand before too.I'm not into the pow wow selling circuit.Just please myself or others I know.
My hands are beat up too.Broken finger.Crooked finger.Stitches on a few etc. from farming getting them smashed or whatever.
This type work passes the time for me while being creative.
Lots of quills for sale but need to be sorted then too.If I had porkys living here I'd have a hide or two of them.
