Bedford 40 cal build
« on: March 04, 2024, 04:21:54 pm »
Always wanted one of these. With the boxes of parts I had almost everything except the barrel, pins, sights, tennons, and the hard stuff.

Learned a bit how to solder, file dove tails, measure, measure, and measure again to get the pins right. Inletting the lock and trigger was a bit. I made the stock plate from a piece of steel I had laying around the shop. Nothing fancy but that is how I like them.

I did made the horn and the two pouches were from an old leather briefcase.

Need to finish this hornbow so I can move on to the 58 Hawken with the Sharon barrel.

Looks good to me, I like to make basic parts for a gun, The more parts I make the more I treasure a gun.
