Muskyman I’m not by it right now. Was working in the woods today. Trying to clean up some of the dead ash trees.

You can make a pretty nice bow with an inch of Osage.

I don’t think my Simply Orange would be any wider than that. It’s a almost bend thru handle with static recurves.

Honestly these tips are super easy to make. I just roughly shape my overlays. Get a nice flat surface for glue line.

Glue them on and then shape my tips with a bastard file. Then just sand with Emory cloth, finer paper and steel wool.

Only thing I don’t like is I don’t think a stringer would work. So far I haven’t had to use one, but it is getting harder to brace the heavier ones with recurves.
