Attaching tanged arrowheads
(1/1)
WhistlingBadger:
I'd like to someday make some hunting arrows with primitive heads, maybe something like this. A lot of hand-forged arrowheads have tangs instead of sockets. How would one go about attaching something like this to a hardwood shaft?

JackCrafty:
These tanged arrowheads are designed to be attached to bamboo or cane shafts. The socketed arrowheads are the ones attached to hardwood shafts.

Sort of thinking how drilling a hole for that tang in hardwood might be tricky!
