New points (more pix)
« on: July 05, 2008, 02:59:30 pm »
First off I will confess, these are from blanks.  :-* Im not the best knapper in the world, but here are a few I just finished.  They are about 2 1/4" long and 1" wide.

I second DanaM and Eddie. Good job. I have about 30 slabed blanks and I guess I had better get going on them. Ex++++ Justin.

Ahh, excellent - most excellent ;D. Those are great Justin, I've made a few outa slabs and it's just as hard to me as using spalls. How did your rock cooking turn out?

Hey, there ain't nothin wrong with making points out of slabs.  It's a much more conservative way to work stone, especially if you're a beginner.  If you can use modern technology to maximize the number of points you can make from a certain piece of stone, then by all means do it!  Just like buying a Honda in todays expensive gas market....it makes sense.
