Hail To All Robinhoods!! Come hither!!
« on: September 09, 2008, 07:54:33 pm »
Hey all! We have all claimed to split arrows, but lets see some! Please state conditions and circumstances in great detail. Here's mine: youth arrow split 2 years ago with a 30 # recurve target bow at about 10 yards. I had it hung up on my wall forever and decided to put it to some use. it was about 2 or 3 in from the center of the target. Please include pics! I'm sure you guys saved these babys.Enjoy!...(none of that carbaluminium crap!!)

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Yep, Tim. not unusual for compounds. I tend to get real excited if I shoot one of my horn nocks. :( :'(

actually my uncle got most of his years back when he shot recurves in leagues in the 70's-early 80's,after he got his wheel bow and arrows he doesnt do that so much now,too dang expensive he says, gotta agree with that logic.
he used to make all his own arrows back in the day.so they were cheap

I did it more with a compound but I wasn't shooting self nock arrows. ;D >:(  I try not to do this. I'm such a bad shot I hit when I try to miss. ::)

I shoot blunts to practice, so I would just demolish the nock into oblivian when it happens. To date, I done it about 6 or 7 times I think. Not much fun :P.

Here's my first one. Hickory arrows, fifteen yards. I took about five seconds for both shots, but still hit just below my targeted stump. I don't have any pictures of the rest though, and no splits.
