where can an american buy linen thread?

I've allways found Linen too thick for whipping,silk work's much better and is still authentic.

The thread in the link will work for whipping,personally i prefer a smaller gauge for my arrows but to each his own eh!?
If you take a look on Steve's website you'll see the silk i'm talking about,it's not expensive.
I allso use Gutterman's thread but not very traditional :)

I cant see clearly in the picture how thick it is if you have any experience with that type of tread tell me please.
