Oceanspray (not for BOM)
« on: June 12, 2009, 12:56:57 am »
for my b-day my better half signed me up for a John Strunk bow class. i told John i wanted to try and get some pointers on building sapling bows. i picked a 1" diam. oceanspray. i also built a bow from vinemaple but thats for another time. the oceanspray ended up 65" long,64"ntn,43#@ 25". i'm very pleased w/the performance of this seamingly small stick.
most excellent class w/John Strunk great teacher. Thank You John.

Well done, tiller looks good, and I like the coloring on the back.  Why not for BOM?

Very nice bow, I don't think a better bow wood exists than ocean spray, just wish it grew bigger and straighter. Steve
