From Lukasz:hi. I just made interesting bow . Horn and sinew , asyrian shape and static recurve. 50 lb , 130 cm. black painting only on recurve ,black leather handle , horn and snake skin. Shoot realy nice, fast , real pleasure. Hickory core , elm recurve tips , water buffalo horns by Peter Cua from Philiphines , a little sinew , not much. Water snake skin. 4 mm horn 6 mm hickory. I used hide glue. I made bows from one piece of wood in asian style but this is my first horn bow and I have worry , but work very sweet and Im very satisfied
This bow easily won bow of the month. Here's some comments:
-"beautifull and expert workmanship, looks well made, how does it shoot?  and  did you cover  it in leather like the turkish bows and  what paint did you use??" dragonman
-"you win, it's awesome" radius
-but I think my next horn bow will be better/ "Could be better?  It will be hard. Horn wood sinew - this is highest challenge and this bow is realy high class. " chaetaux
-"Super cool BOW!!! You are a very skillled craftsman, congratulations on an excellent bow." smokeu

people in Poland just start make bows , most traditional archer use fieberglass bows. I write this forum and many of yours bows are inspiration for me.

Lukasz, do you know Jarek Jankowski? He's a nice guy and really knows how to make bows!
He wrote a book about building traditional bows and crossbows (to bad I don't speak Polish  ;D ;D ;D )

Yes ofcourse I know Jarek.We have differend opinions on few things but I respect him , he is realy good bowmaker , aspecialy make great 2 , 3 laminated bows. Shame but few years ago he stop make bows. 3 years ago I and my friends have set up similar phorum like this.  http://www.forum.arcus-lucznictwo.pl/index.php  . For this time traditional archery in Poland was not popular , but now it start to change. Poland have great khnightly history and we make more and more tournaments, so traditional archery start have reason to exist. Here we have one of them and my wife with her yew longbow  ;)
