Shoot them at rocks.......

What are they glued on with? If hot melt then just reheat the points and pull off with a part of gloves so you don't burn yourself.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Heat 'em with a blow torch, works for me.
I'll grip a boken shaft in the vice, heat the point, and pull it off with a pair of pliers.
Then I'll try and pick it up while it's still hot and shout oh ah and several other things...gets me every time ::)

I use a candle to install and remove field points. Just grip the point with pliers after you heat it and it will come right off.

Hey woodsman,if the points were attached with hot melt glue, you can do like Pat said.If they're glued with epoxy, try heating and  pulling them off,but more than likely, your gonna have to shorten your arrow, : ::),then drill the old wood,( and glue), out of the point. God Bless

If they are glued on with epoxy you can freeze the tip and they will pop right off.

I was able to heat them and remove the field points. The shaft is tapered. I am wanting to buy some of the glue on broadheads, but I am wondering if yall think the taper already cut on these shafts will be the same needed for glue on broadheads.

If these will fit is there any pointers yall can give me on installing the broadheads?

Thanks

It's usually a standard taper that will fit both field points and glue-on broadheads. You'll want to glue the broadheads on with more hot melt glue. I'll let others here chime in on how to glue the broadheads on and get them aligned correctly as i haven't done that yet myself.

Any new heads, broadheads or field points, will have oil on them to prevent rusting. You will have to remove the oil from inside the socket on the point. I soak points in alcohol or acetone first to remove the oil then take them out and let the solvent evaporate. Then I add new hot melt glue to the taper, heat the Ferrel enough to melt the glue and fit the head on the taper. Twist the shaft into the point one direction as you set the point. When cooled I spin the point, broadheads and field points(stone and trades too) on my finger tip or on a callus on the palm of my hand to be sure it is true. If not, re-heat and reset and spin again until it spins true. Be sure your shafts are not crooked too. I doesn't matter to me what the point orientation is, horizontal or vertical,  as long as the arrow and point spin true.
