primitivehunter2:
i know lots of people use turkey feathers but are there any other feathers that can be used??

sailordad:
weill i prefer wild turley primaries adn secodaries, will also use the tail feathers.
also wheni get them(i dont hunt them)canadian goose primaries and secondaries.
but i think any larg feather, especially primaries will work.
turkey primaries are about the most durable    jmho

Hillbilly:
Turkey and goose are my favorites. Goose primaries make great fletchings.

hawkbow:
Turkey, goose, peacock and peahen wing feathers work great.. also, pheasant and grouse wing feathers work for hunting arrows.

Justin Snyder:
Wild turkey are my preference. Partially because they make great fletchings, partially because of the look. Solid color feathers appear to be craft store feathers to most people. Those same people recognize barred turkey feathers as a natural feather, and natural is what I am after.
