Central Oregon Bowyers Gathering 2010

Flyer's are done and the dates are set. Last year was allot of fun and the even grew considerably. This has proven to be a great time with many learning to build there first bows with the help of great bowyers such as Gordon Juniper junky and this year we might have one of the bowyer pioneers attending as well. Last year we had 9 people make shootable bows from scratch and had many other demonstrations going on as well. This year we are planning on doing some demos on skin applications, handle wraps and possibly some tip demo's

sad thing is that it might be my last one for awhile...well, i have to say i did meet some great people..and all ways had the best of times going...john

its because i might be moving to the west side of oregon...i have been looking at roseburg for awhile..and if things go right i will be moving in july...and i dont know when i will be able to go to the gathering again....it might be awhile....john

 He won't be leaving,,,,,,, if we have any say in the matter,, ;D And even if he dose,,,,,I'll drive to Roseburg and drag his hide back here for the gathering. ;D >:D

Sorry John, I missed the "my" when you said last one for awhile. Hopefully you can make it back sometime. I wont be able to make it this year because of budget problems.

weather forcast is looking great. should be in the 60s. still a chance Keenan can make it, we will keep our fingers crossed. we will have to keep an eye on him and not let him do too much. looking forward to seeing everyone.

I am told that there is wide enough spaces at the location to hold a fun flight shoot.  Is this scheduled for one particular day?  I want to be sure I am there for it.  It should be a blast!

not really scheduled for any particular day, but we usually do the flight shoot late saturday afternoon. but we may do it again on sunday ;D anything to have fun. sadly, Keenan wont be able to make it. he has surgery set for tuesday, may be home by saturday, we might have to load up and pay him a visit. I threatened that I would show up at the hospital with just my leggings and breechclout.  :o probably not a good idea to get him laughing too hard right after surgery. looking forward to the gathering, I will go over to Keenans monday evening and pick up some things he wants me to take out there. should be a blast looking forward to it.

That was a fantastic shoot!  The people were great and the location provided the ultimate archery playground.  Thanks for pulling it together and I look forward to the next.
