Pre smoking my hide, you do this after the second ringing, it is a little trouble to have to sew it up twice but well worth it for and old man like me that gets tired pulling and stretching. I use the same set up for my final smoke after the hide is soft and dry. Grant came in with some cool stickers and passed them around, Also finally got the strap Joe made me on my squirrel gun. Thanks Joe, I love it. :)

Melting bees wax/boiling water to make some horn plug fits and warming my hand after being in the brain slurry, it was freezing in between soakings. Sweet Pee showed up to help with some wood hauling, she is great help. ;)

Sweet Pee doing some whittling around the fire after a hard day hauling wood. My niece Issi, her momma and grad mother say we are ruining another one, I think they may be right. ;) :)
My rum flask sealed and put together, don't know if it will hold rum with no leaks but done great with the water test.  ;) :) Bill at work making another chair for the fire pit. This one is solid Walnut. ;)

The rum keg looks good. Are you going to pin the plugs in with nails? I sealed mine after it was put together by pouring the wax in the hole, sloshing it around and then pouring it out.

Thanks guys, it was fun weekend. No Eddie I sealed it first by doing just what you did, just pouring wax in melted and rinsing it around, then sealed the plugs before I put them in and yes I plan on pinning the plugs with some brass pins. It was so cold I was afraid to do it that  the way you did Eddie, thought the wax would get hard before I could pour it out and then I would have a mess. It set very quick as cold as it was outside.  ;)

To rainy to work on my hide yesterday evening so me and Sally tillered on my trade bow, got it to brace so that was a good evening for me. Also got my Rum flask pinned. I made 1 pin by bending it for each end in the shape of a fencing steeple so I would have a place to tie on the Lanyard.[Picture Monday] It seemed to work out pretty cool and I think it will work out fine. Great evening , pretty peaceful. ;)
