Spent a lot of time in the kitchen.  ;) :) My girls loved the scraps also. The weather was tough for hunting, hot first few days then very cold and windy but Dave managed to pull it off on the last morning and Conner had his chance but didn't make it happen, great time for sure, can't wait to do it again.

Now to this weekend, got the small practice all set back up and the walk through practice range set also along with cleaning out the pavilion and cutting and splitting wood. Shawn came down to help but also got his last hide off the rack, so we are ready to start some tanning in a week or 2.

Some good food and fellowship around the fire . We are getting a good start on the wood supply but still have a ways to go, most of us are getting older and instead of being able to work hard all day we are more 1/2 day guys anymore.  ??? ;) :)

New pavilion almost set up, got the forge moved back in and setting up my brain tanning area under it also with smoker/cable/rope and twisting pole, should make it easier and not as crowed as it was under the other pavilion. Also will keep all the equipment such as splitter's and sprayers. under it. I did get a last hunt in Saturday morning, season closes today  :(, had a couple of doe in to 15 yards but had 1 small limb in the way that I felt sure I would hit so passed on the shot, was thinking of the last thing Miss Joanie said to me when I left the house "Don't do nothing stupid " so I didn't for a change.  ;) :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. :)

The new pavilion and the new open area sure looks great. It's gonna change that whole area. Beau and his kids fit quite well in the new Kobota. Life is good.  :OK
Tell Miss Joanie she's still in my thoughts. Hope her recovery is going well.
