Not good, had some bleeding so opened her back up, now her chest is packed and temporarily closed, if they get the bleeding stopped the will take the packing out and close back up Friday, still unconscious and in ICU, been a long night, I stayed with her in ICU. She made it through the night and they said very little bleeding as of now which is a good sign. I sent this to family last night, she made it through the night ok with very little bleeding so that is a good sign, hopefully we will back on track in a couple of day and they can wake her up. Pappy

I am confident I speak for everyone, but if there is ANYTHING you need, Pappy, you just have to ask.

The surgery went well but now they can’t wake her up, been 7 hours, called in the neurologist and ordered a brain scan checking for bleeding or stroke, it’s like a bad roller coaster ride you can’t get off of. Pappy

I know this is treading on dangerous ground for the rules, but hang in there Pappy

I remember one Easter morning when my son was in something like his 54 th surgery. I literally didn’t know what to even pray for anymore.

I finally figured out how difficult it must have been for “my god” to give up his only son and watch him suffer when he could have stopped it at anytime.

I finally said lord I don’t know what to ask for. I’m just going to leave everything in your hands. I know it sounds crazy but a huge feeling of relief washed over me. I truly felt like whatever happened it would be alright.

Fortunately my son recovered and as you met him know he is doing well. That was close to 25 years ago and I still feel that same sense of relief. I know everything will be alright.

I pray for you and miss Joanie. Her doctors and nurses. All her loved ones.

ps I’m not trying to convert anyone to my religion, just saying a prayer for my friend

No change all night , I was about to give up hope, but then just 10 minutes ago she moved her toes and foot.seems like such a little thing but you don’t know how excited I was, then I ask her to wiggle her toe for me and she did. Still can’t grip my hand but at least some kind of progress. Update when I talk to doctors about the scan last night.🙏Pappy
