The guys done some wood splitting Saturday, they wouldn't let me help, I hated that but spent my time in the shop and cheering them on. We burn a lot of wood as yall all know. ::) :) :) Got 1 stand all made up and another in the works.

Got my rack repair back from my buddy, looks great, he done a great job matching it, usually wouldn't repair a broke tine but this was a special year and since i had pictures of him before it was broke I decided to have it fixed, glad I did. Then spent some alone time around the fire with just the girls and a beautiful sun set, been a tough couple of week but guess that's how life goes sometimes. ;) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. :)

Great weekend, still limping around but got MRI Tuesday so just maybe they can figure it out and get it fixed, if not guess I will keep looking like Chester on Gun Smoke. I spent most of my time close to the fire and shop but had lots of company, so a very good time. Mainly worked on knives and cooked. Did get all my Goose wings worked up and my Turkey feathers ready to ship.  :)

Got the feathers all boxed up and ready to ship tomorrow, about 20 lbs so a bunch of feathers, 3000 at least. Also got some linseed oil on my rack and ready to hang somewhere. Started on the handle for my new knife and got the blade heat treated and ready to temper.

We have a annual rabbit hunt for the club every year and have a friend with dogs, we use our bows , so lots of shooting but not many rabbits, I didn't get to go out this year because of my knee but had fun with the guys at lunch and after the hunt, only 1 rabbit killed but a good time. :)

Hate hearing about the knee, Pappy. I've had meniscus repair twice but don't have to worry about it anymore with two knee replacements. The deer rack came out great! If I had a chance at a doe last year it would have been a trophy. Didn't get to hunt after the surgery but being able to walk now is a whole lot better. Really missing you guys and tell Gregg I'm thinking about him.
