Good weekend, still limping around but made it through and seem to be improving daily. Had a lot of friends over so lots of stories and fellowship. New knife stand, a buddy gave me and old blade he found in the woods, I think at one time it had some kind of pole on it, the blade was in bad shape and tip broken so I reworked it and plan on a handle wrap and leave the slot where I can add a pole if needed. Some good venison steaks for lunch.  ;)

Lots of buddies hanging out around the Minny practice range. The grass is really starting to pop now, the place is looking a little better to me. :)

Some napping going on. I iced my knee about 3 times a day and seems to really help. Sister just watching and wondering what I am up to.  :-\
I got a hemp wrap on my blade, now to make a pole.  :)

Getting everything together to get the arrows for the TN. Classic finished up. Need 14 heads and Will is helping me out with them. More shooting, I broke out my Arvin/Waylin/kenny bow and done some shooting, the guys retrieved my arrows, great bunch and have been babying me like a little kid the last few weeks.  :) :) Great to have good friends when you need them.  :)

Finished up my dog grave yard, even planted some rooster tails in and around it. I think they would be proud. Annie picking out her spot, hope it will be a while. ;) Then I took a ride on the range, we are having our first shoot the 21/22 of march, lots of trash to clean up in the woods and on the trails but the guys have stepped up and it looks pretty good.

We are also building a new walk bridge for this range but will also be used to get from the lower camp ground to the main area during the Classic. Lots of big targets, this is a good warm up for us to start getting ready for the Classic. Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.  :)

Glad your knee is doing better, Pappy. Twin Oaks is looking good. Lots of new views for me. Can't wait to get there.

Hope the knee keeps improving pappy. It is really nice to have good friends who can help out. I’m sure they are glad to.

Have a little dog cemetery behind my house. Right under my practice ladder stand.

We've got six in our dog graveyard and one cat on the east side of the house. That is over the 35 years we've lived here. Some are marked with an Osage split with their collar attached. Don't know how folks live without dogs.

Sounds like the suspension rebuild has gone well, Pappy. That's good news indeed. Been talking to folks that are going to the TN Classic for the first time and trying not to get them too worked up. There's just so much to see and do, and so many folks to connect with. It's a little overwhelming!

Sir, I cannot tell you how deeply that offer moves me.

I had been planning on heading to OJAM this spring, but I ran off at the mouth and agreed to house and dogsit for friends of mine when they asked. Jim is the fella that has gotten me hooked up with making movie props and I've paid more than a few odd bills off with money that he channeled my way. I felt I better cash the check my mouth wrote. Maybe that means I should head for Tennessee in May since I won't be in OK next weekend.

I will confess it has been fun dogsitting for Jim's dog, Cooper. He's a big, dumb, sweet goober. Half golden retriever and half border collie. That means he is not only everybody's best friend, but neurotically inclined to show you CONSTANTLY how much he loves you! That's a real change from the feral Lena that I've had for 12 years now. She's about as loving and affectionate as a sopping wet male barn cat.
