Just relaxing around the fire, and getting supper ready.I spent more time cooking than hunting,
maybe that's why I didn't see any deer. ;) :)

I was worried a bit when I saw Greg's pic without food then a few frames down I took a breath. ;D
I do recognize some of those Yanks. Looks like a wonderful time. Fortunately we don't depend on dead deer to have a good time.  Thanks for sharing ya'lls week together.      Pat

We got back to NY around 3am on New Years Day.  The family was excited to see us back a bit early.  The deer sign and activity was disappointing, but the fellowship was worth the trip.  To make Grant happy, I asked my wife to buy me an accordian for my birthday.  Can you play bluegress on a squeeze box?

Maybe next year we can do a hog hunt or something along those lines.  It might cost a bit more but at least the likelihood of getting game is higher.  Just a thought.

Thanks again for the fun and see you soon,

Glenn

LBL is public land. And i think the deer session there is small. and i'm sure the deer sorta got it figerd out.
I know there are lots of deer there.. last spring and summer me and my and friends spent alot of time out there camping and fishing.. and i seen deer everytime.. sometimes i seen 15 or 20+ in a 5 mile drive..
I'm sure the time spent in camp around good friends was well worth the trip...

Man...looks like you boys had a good time! Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I won't miss it again!! My wife's grandma is in bad shape, and this was probably her last Christmas, so I wanted to be around.(She was fortunate enough to see 98 Christmas's though ;))

Looks like you had a good group. Before long, you may have to start looking for a secondary camp spot....
