Sounds like life is still grand at Twin Oaks. I was on vacation myself, and have spent a while this morning catching up on PA. Should be catching up on work!! ::)

Caught some nice grouper and snapper, and ate seafood all week. Nice to be back in the mountains though, and looking forward to finishing a bow!
Just remember, you can't put the wood back on.

It hinged on me just when it hit full draw. Bummer! James is sending me a new blank. He mentioned he thought the glue may not have set up right because of the low temps in the heat boxes.

Hey David, I was there when it hinged on you. Glad to hear you are getting it worked out!

I am already ready for next year, I'm looking forward to heading back up to build another one haha!

Yep! I remember a few prime words that came out when it happened. Man, First time that has ever happened. Cant wait till the blank gets here in the mail! I think James will be better set up for next year and will have more time to teach the class.

Pappy, hope you and John got back home safe and sound...Brother Dan and I had a great time at the Presque Isle shoot, Ryano should be proud and all the "Classic" shooters should make the trip at least once! It is well worth it.

We made it home thank you!  No bad weather to speak of at all.  Traffic became a problem about 5  miles from the turnoff to I24.  We was almost home and had to sit for about an hour and a half due to an accident.

Wow, what a fun shoot it was.

Had a wonderful time let me tell ya.  :)

Take care,

John

Jon, I,m glad you guys made it to the shoot an hoped you enjoyed it. I didn,t get to talk to you much, had to run the registration Sat. morning an by Sat. afternoon I was deep into the flintknapping, head down whackin some good texas stuff that i found in my bucket, How about some of those moving targets that Patrick an Ryan rigged up. I thought they did a great job with this shoot,an I think we had double the attendance from just last year. Good to hear you all made it home safely Later Bob

Glad to be back, trips are great , but nothing like home. :) We went to the Black hills, you can see why the Indians held it in such high regard, also the bad lands, and man it is bad. :)
