The girls love leading me around the farm when I am on the tractor,I made my food plots a little smaller this year, maybe 1/4 acer. We had a good supper of deer back strap. Little tractor work.Jon's jig for straightening cain arrows, works pretty good. We put out 18 deer targets and 2 Turkey for the shoot coming up.Barry came down and worked on his Osage bow, this is his first and he is doing a fine job so far. :) :)

Look's like another great week end. We are supposed to have Ginseng down here but I don't even know what the plant look's like.

I was at the Florida Bowhunter's Jamboree and shoot this weekend. I was wearing my Twin Oaks shirts and hat. Pappy, you wouldn't believe how many people came up to me and said they had been to the Classic or planned on going next year.

Cool, like them Florida folks. Ya I have a lot on my place,I don't fool with it So I let JohnT take care of it,he replants the seed and  won't dig it till the season is in. He also only digs the bigger stuff.
Stringstrecher I will let Jon come in and tell you about it,I have never use it but have seen some of the Cain he straightened with it and they look good.  :)

Dang Pappy....maybe you ought to go into planting Ginseng in them Hardwoods of yours...Heard you can get as much as $90,000 an Acre from the Crops...but then They say you have to wait at least 5-6 years before your first Harvest....that might be tough!
As a species we're fundamentally insane. Put more than two of us in a room, we pick sides and start dreaming up ways to kill one another. Why do you think we invented politics and religion.

It might be a good idea, but to much work for me. ;) ;D John is getting quite a bit ,he said it will bring 3 to 4 hundred a lb. but it take a whole lot once it dries to make a pound. He just like wandering the wood looking for it,says it keeps him in shape. :)

Pappy - looks like Thanksgiving will be my first trip home.  I will meet them this weekend in St. Louis then they will come up here for Fall Break and I will come home for Turkey Day.

Shoot em' straight at the Whitetail Classic and hang some meat on opening day!
