Pappy, I have an old Ohous triple beam just like that. Mine definately has a history  ::)  but has reformed to trad archery only anymore.  ;D    When measuring arrows and points I convert ounces to grains, 437.5 grains to 1 ounce.

Pappy I just love this thread except that it has a way of causing me to covet,,,,,,,, Can't wait to get back down for some fun.  BTW that bow is looking awesome!

Pat,  I don't understand what you mean by having a history,,,  O:) ;)  Was it used for weighing bullets or something?  ::) :o

Pappy:  Last year I left several books on cooking rocks at the classic and in them was a page of conversions that list specific amounts.  There may be some of those booklets in the office!  If not, I can send you a copy.  Makes for no math!  A/Ho Joe

Thanks Guys,I will check and see Joe,I like no Math. :) Pat this one has a little history also, keep in mine I have had it 40 + years. :) :) I have not always been the outstanding citizen I am today at least some remind me of that once in a while, like at class reunions and such. ;) :) :) I really like it and it is very accurate and use to have a chart for arrows,Grams to grains and now that folks do this bow weighing thing I thought it would be prefect for that also ,grams to ounces.I can use what yall have sent but would like to find one like Joe was talking about so I don't have to stop and figure it up. Might run out of fingers and toes if I have to do to much figuring. ;) ;D ;D

Yeah yeah, Keenan! Bullets, that's what it was...bullets!  ::)

Pappy, I wrote the ounce to grain conversion right on the base of the scale.

...and yep, it was about 40 years ago!  ;)   8)

Just more junk sitting around, Lee. I think it is a fish vertibre with a lead buckshot, flattened on one side after being shot from a slingshot into a pierce of metal. I thought I had cleaned up before taking the pics.  ::)
