No place on earth like Twin Oaks Pappy. :)  Sharon and I are really looking forward to getting back there for the Classic this spring and spending time with all our new friends.

So, How did Jon tan that possum so fast?

Not fully tanned yet Matt.  Just rawhide on the skin side, the fur is clean on the other.  Pappy and I are going to try to brain tan it when he begins work on one of his hides soon.  I simply stretched the hide on a board and scrapped it clean as a whistle, then washed it a second time in the green no scent hunters soap.  No smell of the opossum any longer on the fur.   :)

I wanted to see if we might could make string silencers with the fur.  It's a project in the works.   ;D

Jon, do you have to set the hair before tanning it?

So it doesn't fall out later. I think with some tanning methods alum is used to hold the hair follicles in. I've never done any tanning but have read about how to.

You guys will be ready to kick back by the pool this weekend. ;D Here's where I'll be. I'm moving to a Resort on the Dead Sea. It's a pretty cool place, just have to figure out how to bring back some of this primo Brown flint that is everywhere.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I guess so.  I was thinking more along the lines of deer, turkey, and rabbits.  I bet there isn't even a single wild hog for Mullet to run over.
