I agree 100%.  I trap them with steel leg hold traps.  It's a lot easier to trap them than call them in my experience.  You will have a few non target catches (coons, skunks, bobcats,) but you can release anything that you want to.

That sounds like a good plan. Guess I need some traps and advice on how to start setting some up. :)

You use a catch pole.  You slip a loop over its head and control its movement while your helper releases the trap >:D

OK, what about a skunk?  You would need an awful long catch pole.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

;) ;D ;D ;D Love to do that Greg, been wanting to get into some trapping anyway, as if I need another hobby.  :) :) Maybe in a few weeks you can come down for a weekend and show me the ropes. :) I have 2 nice creeks they seem to follow a lot, if you have a deer die close to one of them they can be on them in hours or less if it is close to dark. ;) :)

I look forward to it Pappy.  Outlaw, skunks are pretty docile compared to other furbearers.  You just talk softly to them and pet them on the head :P  Just be cautious if they want to show you how tall their tail is >:D

Pappy heres a few pictures and good luck thinning out the trickster ;D. You would have better luck thinning them with parvo or mange :(, They are true surviors and alot of fun to trap but take alot of my time for the amount that I catch :o. Bob

Very cool pictures Bob, We are planning on doing some very soon. Great weekend, very cold but as usual we made the best of it, got lots done around the shop and after being outside for a while it didn't seem that cold. Few pictures of the fun. First a load of poles Don got for us to be used on the second bridge, hope to get started on that in a few weeks. Also getting some stuff set up for Coyote hunting.  :)
