I saw him working on it Friday. He said he wanted a good "all purpose" knife that can do everything from take wood off a stave to chop wood. It looks like he's figured it out :D

Not sure what they are called but I will ask him, he bought one and then made the pattern for the others, downsizing one of them to about 2/3 of the size of the one he bought. :)

Thanks Steve, I may through he a big party with deer leg bone and all. ;) :) We it's Friday and headed to the farm when I get away from here. Got the rough sawed lumber in for the outside wall of the Kitchen and all the supplies to wire and insulate the inside so hope we can make a good lick on that this weekend, it is supposed to turn cold [18] tonight but with a good fire we will be fine working outside. I plan of finishing up my last 2 powder horns today and then I am moving on to some bows, just feeling the need  ;) :) :) :) Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good. ;)

Pappy, I can't wait to see the projects you get done around there once you retire.  You might cause some of the club members to drop a few lbs from working them harder  ;D
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

If thats the case Clint,  I would like to join the club on October 1st. We could make a work out video and call it Pappy 's down sizeing!

;D ;D ;D Great weekend, hardly any time in the shop except for Friday evening but got a ton done on the new Kitchen, at least we are at the point we aren't still tearing out and moving to put stuff back together , so 1/2 way done or a little more I would say. :) Friday evening Bill and Linda working on some Osage staves and me adding the end plug in one of my horns.

Filler plug finished. We do have a kitchen to finish , but a man has to have fire wood also so we got a start on that Friday. :) We usually get a big crew and cut most of our yearly wood in a day, this year we have so many other things going on we are just fitting it in when we have a chance. :)

Getting started with the siding and another load of rock. It was 16 Saturday morning but some of the more hardy members still showed up to work.  ;) Some of the others didn't. We had plenty of help just the same. ;) :)
