Jamie, to get those serrations I work off a continuous platform centered on the edge of the point. I run flakes across the face with the red arrow first...from base to tip. I do that on each side. Then I go back and abrade the hollows left from the first pass on the opposite side (the one with the green arrow). I do that with a diamond file and abrade towards the face I plan to flake next. Abrading towards the last face brings the edge/platform back closer to center. I flake he last pass from tip to base. Once that is done, it's a matter of fine tuning the points on the serrations and slightly hollowing them out.
